preregistration deadline.

weekend event but units need to be prepared in the unlikely event of a sudden illness.

accordingly. Portable restroom facilities will be on site in multiple locations during this event. The Grove
operates public restroom facilities as well.
A large dumpster will be onsite to facilitate refuse disposal. Please limit the amount of trash you collect and
pack as much out as possible. With a weekend event of this magnitude, we will need everybody to do their part
in waste disposal.
Please do not dump leftover food products on the grounds or in the woods. Gray waste water may be dumped
providing it does not contain food particles.

Check-out Procedure: Pack up all personal and troop equipment into trailers, automobiles, vans, or onto
mules, young scouts, etc. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE VEHICLES IN THE CAMPSITES. Take all gear to the
edge of the roads.

should leave your campsite cleaner than when you arrived.

Troops may send a runner to headquarters or look for a staff member in the area, to notify the Camporee Staff
that you are ready to be inspected.
Staff members will be in the camping areas to inspect the site prior to the troop's departure. Every effort will be

BOY SCOUT EXPO 2011
EVENT REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
Registration will be UNIT-based rather than individual-based. The event will be held “rain or shine” and no refunds will
be issued, except for major medical reasons. Refund requests must be made in writing and submitted to the Council
office after the event.
Everyone who attends EXPO must register for the event; and all attendees will be issued an appropriately colored
wristband, which must be worn at all times. For safety reasons, un-registered people will not be permitted in certain areas.
We will also be in areas which we cannot prevent the general public from accessing, so there will be times when the
youth are co-mingled with non-Scouters. The wristbands are an important factor in managing a safe environment. Many
youth and adults remove the bands or simply do not wear them. We require you to speak to your unit and explain the
importance of the wristbands for this event and expect everyone to adhere to this policy. Access to certain areas will be
prohibited without a wristband.
Registration will done by the Senior Patrol Leader (or acting SPL) and/or Scribe and one Adult leader. As a boy-led
organization, please encourage your youth leadership to embrace their roles. Your SPL/Scribe should have all
relevant information ready to confirm with the registration staff. Your unit will first be directed to your campsite and
your SPL/Scribe and leader must return to the registration area. There will probably not be parking or room for your unit
to congregate near the registration area.
Webelos and Visitors (non-registered parents/etc) are encouraged to camp as a den. They must also pay the appropriate
fees, follow EXPO policies, wear a wristband and conduct themselves in a manner consistent with BSA guidelines.
The EXPO Fee is based on the date and location of registration.
As part of organizing this event, we are expected to have a reasonable attendance estimate by September 1 st. We are
urging everyone to register an appropriate estimate of attendees by the September 1stth deadline to assist us with our
estimates.

A large dumpster will be onsite to facilitate refuse disposal. Please limit the amount of trash you collect and pack as much out as possible. With a weekend event of this magnitude, we will need everybody to do their part in waste disposal.
Please do not dump leftover food products on the grounds or in the woods. Gray waste water may be dumped providing it does not contain food particles.
Check-out Procedure: Pack up all personal and troop equipment into trailers, automobiles, vans, or onto mules, young scouts, etc. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE VEHICLES IN THE CAMPSITES. Take all gear to the edge of the roads.
Conduct a thorough policing of your campsite and surrounding areas. Pick up all trash and remember that you should leave your campsite cleaner than when you arrived.
5
Troops may send a runner to headquarters or look for a staff member in the area, to notify the Camporee Staff that you are ready to be inspected.
Staff members will be in the camping areas to inspect the site prior to the troop's departure. Every effort will be made to inspect your campsite promptly.
Please pack your trash out with you. Dumpster space will be limited and will be easily overwhelmed.

BOY SCOUT EXPO 2011
EVENT REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
Registration will be UNIT-based rather than individual-based. The event will be held “rain or shine” and no refunds will be issued, except for major medical reasons. Refund requests must be made in writing and submitted to the Council office after the event.
Everyone who attends EXPO must register for the event; and all attendees will be issued an appropriately colored wristband, which must be worn at all times. For safety reasons, un-registered people will not be permitted in certain areas. We will also be in areas which we cannot prevent the general public from accessing, so there will be times when the youth are co-mingled with non-Scouters. The wristbands are an important factor in managing a safe environment. Many youth and adults remove the bands or simply do not wear them. We require you to speak to your unit and explain the importance of the wristbands for this event and expect everyone to adhere to this policy. Access to certain areas will be prohibited without a wristband.
Registration will done by the Senior Patrol Leader (or acting SPL) and/or Scribe and one Adult leader. As a boy-led organization, please encourage your youth leadership to embrace their roles. Your SPL/Scribe should have all relevant information ready to confirm with the registration staff. Your unit will first be directed to your campsite and your SPL/Scribe and leader must return to the registration area. There will probably not be parking or room for your unit to congregate near the registration area.
Webelos and Visitors (non-registered parents/etc) are encouraged to camp as a den. They must also pay the appropriate fees, follow EXPO policies, wear a wristband and conduct themselves in a manner consistent with BSA guidelines.
The EXPO Fee is based on the date and location of registration.
As part of organizing this event, we are expected to have a reasonable attendance estimate by September 1st. We are urging everyone to register an appropriate estimate of attendees by the September 1stth deadline to assist us with our estimates.
