On February 7, 1999, the Chickasaw
Council, Boy Scouts of America held
it's annual Religious Awards Recognition Reception for all Scouts who
have earned a Religious Award
between September 1, 1997 and
December 3 I, 1998. The ceremony
is designed to recognize those Scouts
for this accomplishment on a Council
level after they have received their
award in their own church or synagogue. This year, there were
approximately 350 Scouts who
earned this very special award, which
is one ofthe highest numbers ever in
the council.
Presiding as Master ofCeremonies
was Shelby County Mayor Jim
Rout who opened the program by
telling the Scouts and their parents
and family what a special and important award they had received and

To reach the

undertaking, but to
do it two years in a

how they did it, leader Johnny Weed

Rev. Millen Darnell opened the

ceremony with an invocation, followed by the introduction of the
Mayor by Religious Awards Committee Chairman Jack Grady. Four
Scouts spoke briefly about what
earning their award meant to them.
They were Adam Berkowitz, Randy
Harris, Patrick Quinn, and Aaron
Rosebud.

On February 18th, NFL Great
and Tennessee Legend,
Peyton Manning spoke to
over 500 Scout supporters at
the Chickasaw Councils Annual Friends of Scouting Banquet. Peyton helped the council raise over 50% of its
$1,235,000 goal at this years
Kick Off. According to Don
Burke, Council Finance Director, this years Kick Off
raised more dollars for Scouting in one night than any other
Kick Off.

After a few brief comments by Scout
Executive Gene Stone, the Scouts
attending were given a certificate of
recognition, which was presented to
them by Mayor Rout.

Spring Into Scouting
Here it is - the Spring of the
year .... complete with a welcome rise
in temperature, flowers and trees blooming throughout the Mid-South, the feeling of freshness and renewal in all that
we do, and an important time for Scouting.
These next couple of months are the
time when our Cub Scout packs and Boy
Scout troops must work in close harmony to insure that every graduating
Webelos Scout is given the opportunity
to become an active member of a Scout
troop. This important transaction, if it
occurs now, will result in these boys having an opportunity to attend summer
camp this summer! This is critical, because studies have shown that the two
key secrets of Boy Scout troop growth
is reflected on Scouts and reflection is
effected primarily by two measures.
1. That a new Scout attend a long-term
summer camp experience in his first
summer as a Boy Scout.

2. That he achieves the rank of First
Class within 12 months ofjoining his
troop.

The role ofa Webelos Leader is not completed until each graduating Webelos has
joined and actively participated in a
Scout troop. Webelos Leaders cannot.
make this happen alone, it takes the interest and cooperation of the Scout troop
leadership, the Scoutmaster or Assistant
Scoutmaster assigned to new Scouts. If
you need help in creating a "partnership"
between a Webelos Den and a Scout
Troop, call your District Executive or
Commissioner for assistance.
The other aspect of "Springing into
Scouting" should be troops holding rallies or open-house to invite new boys
about to graduate from the fifth grade
who never joined a Cub pack or dropped
out along the way who would love to be
invited into the fun and adventure of
Scouting.

Congratulations to all the Scouts who
qualified to race in the Council Pinewood Derby race. The District race
will be held Thursday, MarcA 4.
Thanks to all parents and leaders who
helped out with the unit races. This is
a special time in our Cub Scout's year,
so thanks for taking time to help.

District Committee
Again, a special thanks goes out to Jan
Thomas for agreeing to serve as our
District Chairman i~ 1999. Jan brings
many years of Scouting experiencing,
new ideas, and enthusiasm. We have
many of our committee positions filled
and are working hard to bring to you top
volunteer community leaders to serve.
There's no doubt the Crittenden district
is preparing for the best Scouting year
ever in 1999. If you have any suggestions, ideas, or would like to help in some
capacity, please contact A. Jan Thomas

Great Year for Learning for Life
The Learning for Life division of the
Chickasaw Council would like to
welcome four schools to its program.
Bethel Grove, Cherokee, Magnolia,
and Sharpe Elementary Schools
implemented the program in January
1999. Teachers at these schools have
been trained and their programs are
off to a great start.
Learning for Life has had a outstanding year in the Memphis City and
Shelby County schools by adding more
entire schools (~ot just specific
classrooms) than ever before. This
program has become more known and
recognized throughout the year.

Thanks
I can't say enough thanks, to all volunteers who make the Scouting program
go around each year. You are the heroes in the world, taking time to teach
our youth to become tomorrows leaders
make you special. Thanks.

If you would like more information
about Learning for Life and how your
school can become a part it's program,
please call Tammy Robertson at 3274193.

Want to keep up with what is happening in
the district? Need ideas to plan ahead for
your next month's activities? Need advice
from some veteran Scouters? Mark your
calendars for the first Thursday of every
month and be sure to have your unit well
represented at the Southeast District Cub

leaders need to encourage their den
leaders and committee members to attend.
The more leader we have at Roundtable,
the better Roundtable will be. The
festivities start at 7:00 PM and you can
find us at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church,
4221 Crump Road (at Raines).

Malmaison District will be held the
weekend of April 16-18, 1999. The
plans and location are being worked on
at this time and will announced by
March 11. Ricky Cash of Grenada
Troop 18 is the chairman of this event.
He and Joel Martin will be recruiting a
team of good people to make this a
memorable outing for Scouts and
leaders.

Cub Scout Transition
Programs
It is now time to be thinking about
graduating Tiger Cubs into Wolf dep.s
and seeing to it that Webelos bridge
over into a Scout Troop. When our
younger Scouts have the opportunity to
move up into a more advanced

program, they have a better chance of
staying in Scouting longer. Advancement is the "magical seed" to a boy's
growth in Scouting. If unit leaders
need any help or advice on a transition
program for this Spring, please contact
Joel Martin at (601) 227-9209.

Summer Camp
Parents Night
Summer Camp is right around the
corner and all Scouts should have the
opportunity to attend camp with their
troop. Every troop should have a
meeting where parents are invited to
preview the summer camp plans for
upcoming summer. This is a great
way to get most boys in a troop
registered for summer camp. Good
camp attendance keeps a troop
healthy and a Scout happy.

Thanb Mike!
plished many challenging goals in the year
1998. The district oommittee, under Mike's
leadership, generated an increase in Top
leaders trained, increase in long-term summer and day camp, as well as, an increase in
F.O.S. pledges and collections. These are
j\ISt a few of the goals Mike and the district
oommittee sua:essfully accomplished. Mike
will continue serving the district in 1999 as
the program chairman. Thanks a lot Mike,
for your leadership and dedication to all the
volunteers and youth of our District.

Boy Scouts Summer Camp is almost here.
Kia Kima and Tallaha are filling up quickly.
The best way to get your campsite reserved
is by contacting the Scout Office and submitting a deposit. We strive every year to
have an increase in summer camp attendance. If you are having trouble financing
boys or leadership problems, please contact Jason Bain at (901) 327-4193. Every boy
should have the opportunity to attend summer camp.

Welcome Ken and Don!

One of the most important times ofthe year
is rechartering. Most units should have already received and completed their rechartering packet by now. For those units who
still are working on the process and are having trouble completing the fonns please contact Jason Bain at(901)327-4193 so we am

Please make every effort to complete this
process as quickly and as ~urately as you
can. Thank you for your cooperation on .
this important matter.

Rechartering!
Mike Turner set the tone in 1998, now it is
time for our new District Chairman to carry
the district to the next level. I would like to
welcome Dr. Keaaeth S. Uselton to OW' district as the 1999 NashobaDistrict Chairman.
As you may know, Dr. Uselton is the Senior
Minister of the First United Methodist
Church in Millington. Dr. Uselton has been
a Scout/Scouter since 1953, obviously no
stranger to the program. His experience and
knowledge of the Boy Scouts of America,
will be very beneficial to OW' district throughout the following years.

The 1999 Friends of Scouting campaign has
kicked off and will soon be wrapped up. I
am proud to wclu:me Don Lowry to our team

Eagle Scouts Demonstrate Leadership
to BYU Football Team

Scouting has always been an organization
that developed leadership skills in youth.
The list of distinguished Eagle Scouts in
Government, Business, the Space Program
and Sports is long. Of the more than four
million Scouts nation-wide, only about two
percent ofthem will ever achieve this
highest rank. It still takes twenty-one
merit badges, multiple years, dedication
and focus to earn this enviable achievement.

It is highly unusual to have 32 Eagle
Scouts on any one football team, yet the
1998 BYU team did This may be the first
time ever that any collegiate team has had
just such a number.
These Eagles were recognized by the
Chickasaw Council, BSA at a practice
session before their appearance in the
Liberty Bowl for their leadership and were
presented .a new edition of the Boy Scout
Handbook as well as the official Council
patch.

2 .Ways to Participate!
Being a "trained leader" is essential. A trained leader is knowledgeable and
confident in the role being performed. The knowledge and confidence of a
trained leader are quickly sensed by Cub Scouts and is a positive influence on
their lives. The program in your den or pack is unique to your situation; however, there are some fundamental basics to all good programs. The council
training committee, with the help of district training teams, is offering two
different ways in which you can receive needed training this spring.
1. Cub Leader Basic Training will be offered at the Dunavant Scout Service
Center, 171 S. Hollywood in Memphis on the following Saturday mornings:
March 13, 1999 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
April 10, 1999 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
(No reservations are necessary. Just bring your enthusiasm and an open mind!)
2. If your pack has a number of leaders who need training, but most cannot or
will not attend one of the scheduled sessions, then help is just a phone call
away! Each district in the Chickasaw Council has an EMT team (Energized, Motivated Trainers) ready to help put life back into an ailing program.
EMT's will make a "house call" to your pack and deliver a quality basic
training program to you right where you meet! Contact the training chairman for your district listed below and begin to put your program back on a
road to recovery!

The Boy Scout program is based on many outdoor skills, and, by learning and using these skills, Boy Scouts prepare for
responsible adult lives. Troop meetings, hikes, and overnight camps give boys the opportunity for advancement, leadership
experience, and the ability to live with others under the wise counsel of a Scoutmaster who sets an example for the boys he
leads.
Summer camp at Kia Kima Scout Reser\ration or , - - - - -·
at Camp Tallaha is the climax of a troop's yearround program. In these ·:outdoor training centers", boys live Scouting's ideals, participate as
members.of a patrol, make strides in their personal
growth, and have opportunities for advancement
and other meaningful programs.
With a trained staff, summer camp helps the troop,
the patrol, and the individual Boy Scout. The summer camp experience strengthens the troop by providing a goal toward which .the troop can strive to
prepare throughout the year. Summer camp is an
integral part of a troop's total program.
Both Kia Kima and Tallaha offer many new and
exciting programs for 1999. All troops should
have received their summer camp planning guide
in the mail. Campsites are filling fast! (See
chart below.) You can reserve a spot for your
unit with a $50.00 campsite deposit. For mo·re
information or to check on reservations, call
(901) 327-4193 or (800) 727-3BSA.

Organizing a Venturing Crew

Venturing is Scouting's new development program of the Boy Scouts of
America for young men and women
who are 14 (and have completed the
eighth grade) through 20 years of age.
Venturing's purpose is to provide
positive experiences to help young
people mature and to prepare them to
become responsible and caring adults.

Venturing is based on a unique and
dynamic relationship between youth,
adult leaders, and organizations in their
communities. Local community
organizations establish a Venturing
crew by matching their people and
program resources to the interests of
young people in the community. The
result is a program of exciting and
meaningful activities that help youth
pursue their special interests, to grow,
to develop leadership skills, and to
become good citizens.
Venturing crews can specialize in a
variety of avocation or interests.
Venturing programs are developed
around six experience areas of
emphasis. These experience areas
include:
Citizenship, Leadership, Fitness, Social,
Outdoor and Service.

For Boy Scout Troops, there are numerous benefits
to organizing an affiliated Venture Crew
1. Venturing adds exciting new
advancement and leadership
opportunities for older boys.
2. Venturing's program is flexible, so
tioys can participate in tiotli programs.
3. Venturing's program provides new
challenges for older Scouts and
provides leadership opportunities
for all older Scouts while giving
younger Scouts something to
anticipate beyond the troop.

4. Venturing provides new advancement opportunities for boys interested in progressing beyond eagle
or new challenges with awards for
boys out of the "advancement

oop."
S. Through Venturing's Ranger
program, older Scouts give leadership to the troop.
6. The program is based upon the
needs and interests and program
resources of the youth and adults.

How does a Troop and a Crew Work Together?
l . Scouts ages 14 to 18 and adult
leaders can be members of both
units (with primary registration in ·
one and multiple registration in the
other.)
2. The Crew meets separately from
the troop (twice each month is
suggested) an<J has occasional
activities apart from the Troop.
3. Older Scouts in the Troop (especially troop leaders) are expected to
participate in both.
4. An Assistant Scoutmaster or new
adult is recruited to serve as Crew
Advisor.
5. Existing merit badge counselors can
be utilized as consultants for the
Ranger Award.

6. The Troop Advancement Chair can
help conduct Crew reviews for the
Gold and Silver Awards.
7. Ventures, whether Troop leaders or
not, give regular presentations to
the Troop as part of the Ranger
award.
8. Ventures, l • Class and above, can
continue to work in Eagle requirements.
9. If chartered by a church, the Crew
can be blended with the senior high
church youth group.

Key Elements to Program
Planning and Development
Venturing is a sharing experience as
responsible adults provide an environment where by the developmental
needs of youth are met. Crew
program design, planning and implementation are critical. Youth participation is just as important.
These six experience areas should be
present in all crew programs:
1. Social interaction - formal and/or
informal activities.
2. Leadership development - youth
kained to run the crews and plan its
activities.
3. Personal fitness and development experiential learning (hands-on
skills development).
4. Service to others - formal or
infonnal activities, individual or
group-driven.
5. Citizenship - officer elections and
crew activities.
6. Outdoor activities and program.

members about the potential of their
experiences and activities in Venturing
Emphasis should be placed on youth
running the crew. Keep up-to-date on
local and national activities and events.
Plan exciting activities such as visiting
one of the national high-adventure
bases; for example, Philmont Scout
Ranch in New Mexico, or the Florida
National High Adventure Sea Base.

The six experience areas listed above
need not be equally balanced in the
crew program. Based on the crew's
special interest or general interest, one

award in their own church or synagogue.
This year, there were
approximately 350 Scouts who
earned this very special award, which
is one of the highest numbers ever in
the council.
Presiding as Master of Ceremonies
was Shelby County Mayor Jim

Spring Into Scouting
Here it is - the Spring of the
year .... complete with a welcome rise
in temperature, flowers and trees blooming
throughout the Mid-South, the feeling
of freshness and renewal in all that
we do, and an important time for Scouting.
These next couple of months are the
time when our Cub Scout packs and Boy
Scout troops must work in close harmony
to insure that every graduating
Webelos Scout is given the opportunity
to become an active member of a Scout
troop. This important transaction, if it
occurs now, will result in these boys having
an opportunity to attend summer
camp this summer! This is critical, because
studies have shown that the two
key secrets of Boy Scout troop growth
is reflected on Scouts and reflection is
effected primarily by two measures.
1. That a new Scout attend a long-term
summer camp experience in his first
summer as a Boy Scout.
2. That he achieves the rank of First
Class within 12 months of joining his
troop.
The role ofa Webelos Leader is not completed
until each graduating Webelos has
joined and actively participated in a
Scout troop. Webelos Leaders cannot.
make this happen alone, it takes the interest
and cooperation of the Scout troop
leadership, the Scoutmaster or Assistant
Scoutmaster assigned to new Scouts. If
you need help in creating a "partnership"
between a Webelos Den and a Scout
Troop, call your District Executive or
Commissioner for assistance.
The other aspect of "Springing into
Scouting" should be troops holding rallies
or open-house to invite new boys
about to graduate from the fifth grade
who never joined a Cub pack or dropped
out along the way who would love to be
invited into the fun and adventure of
Scouting.
For Scouts, Spring is a great time of year
Activities
Congratulations to all the Scouts who
qualified to race in the Council Pinewood
Derby race. The District race
will be held Thursday, MarcA 4.
Thanks to all parents and leaders who
helped out with the unit races. This is
a special time in our Cub Scout's year,
so thanks for taking time to help.
District Committee
Again, a special thanks goes out to Jan
Thomas for agreeing to serve as our
District Chairman i~ 1999. Jan brings
many years of Scouting experiencing,
new ideas, and enthusiasm. We have
many of our committee positions filled
and are working hard to bring to you top
volunteer community leaders to serve.
There's no doubt the Crittenden district
is preparing for the best Scouting year
ever in 1999. If you have any suggestions,
ideas, or would like to help in some

have a new executive as of March I .
David Morris comes to the Chickasaw
Council from Jonesboro, Arkansas
where he has been an executive for I 5

Summer Camp
Parents Night
Summer Camp is right around the
corner and all Scouts should have the
opportunity to attend camp with their
troop. Every troop should have a
meeting where parents are invited to
preview the summer camp plans for
upcoming summer. This is a great
way to get most boys in a troop
registered for summer camp. Good
camp attendance keeps a troop
healthy and a Scout happy.
Summer Camp Sign-Up
A~ Qffebruary 1~, the following
troops have signed-up for a
Chickasaw Council Camp site:
S-349 S-234
S-370 S-16

If you have not, you need to contact
Trey Moore at 327-4193 to reserve a
spot. Kia Kima and Tallaha are filling
·up fast. Scouts who attend a summer
camp experience are more likely to
advance and remain in the program!!
Eagle Scouts Demonstrate Leadership
to BYU Football Team
Scouting has always been an organization
that developed leadership skills in youth.
The list of distinguished Eagle Scouts in
Government, Business, the Space Program
and Sports is long. Of the more than four
million Scouts nation-wide, only about two
percent of them will ever achieve this
highest rank. It still takes twenty-one
merit badges, multiple years, dedication
and focus to earn this enviable achievement.
It is highly unusual to have 32 Eagle
Scouts on any one football team, yet the
1998 BYU team did This may be the first
time ever that any collegiate team has had
just such a number.
These Eagles were recognized by the
Chickasaw Council, BSA at a practice
session before their appearance in the
Liberty Bowl for their leadership and were
presented .a new edition of the Boy Scout
Handbook as well as the official Council
patch.
Thanb Mike!
Mike Turner, 1998 Distria Chainnan, aaxxnplished
many challenging goals in the year
1998. The district oommittee, under Mike's
leadership, generated an increase in Top
leaders trained, increase in long-term summer
and day camp, as well as, an increase in
F.O.S. pledges and collections. These are
j\ISt a few of the goals Mike and the district
oommittee sua:essfully accomplished. Mike
will continue serving the district in 1999 as
the program chairman. Thanks a lot Mike,
for your leadership and dedication to all the
volunteers and youth of our District.

Minister of the First United Methodist
Church in Millington. Dr. Uselton has been
a Scout/Scouter since 1953, obviously no
stranger to the program. His experience and
knowledge of the Boy Scouts of America,
will be very beneficial to OW' district throughout
the following years.
The 1999 Friends of Scouting campaign has
kicked off and will soon be wrapped up. I
am proud to wclu:me Don Lowry to our team

still are working on the process and are having

Cub Scout Leader
Basic Training
2 .Ways to Participate!
Being a "trained leader" is essential. A trained leader is knowledgeable and
confident in the role being performed. The knowledge and confidence of a
trained leader are quickly sensed by Cub Scouts and is a positive influence on
their lives. The program in your den or pack is unique to your situation; however,
there are some fundamental basics to all good programs. The council
training committee, with the help of district training teams, is offering two
different ways in which you can receive needed training this spring.
2. If your pack has a number of leaders who need training, but most cannot or
will not attend one of the scheduled sessions, then help is just a phone call
away! Each district in the Chickasaw Council has an EMT team (Energized,
Motivated Trainers) ready to help put life back into an ailing program.
EMT's will make a "house call" to your pack and deliver a quality basic
training program to you right where you meet! Contact the training chairman
for your district listed below and begin to put your program back on a
road to recovery!

Why Should My Troop Attend Summer Camp?
The Boy Scout program is based on many outdoor skills, and, by learning and using these skills, Boy Scouts prepare for
responsible adult lives. Troop meetings, hikes, and overnight camps give boys the opportunity for advancement, leadership
experience, and the ability to live with others under the wise counsel of a Scoutmaster who sets an example for the boys he
leads.
Summer camp at Kia Kima Scout Reser\ration or ,-----·
at Camp Tallaha is the climax of a troop's yearround
program. In these ·:outdoor training centers",
boys live Scouting's ideals, participate as
members. of a patrol, make strides in their personal
growth, and have opportunities for advancement
and other meaningful programs.
With a trained staff, summer camp helps the troop,
the patrol, and the individual Boy Scout. The summer
camp experience strengthens the troop by providing
a goal toward which . the troop can strive to
prepare throughout the year. Summer camp is an
integral part of a troop's total program.
Both Kia Kima and Tallaha offer many new and
exciting programs for 1999. All troops should
have received their summer camp planning guide
in the mail. Campsites are filling fast! (See
chart below.) You can reserve a spot for your
unit with a $50.00 campsite deposit. For mo·re

Boy Scout Troops Should Consider
Organizing a Venturing Crew

Venturing is Scouting's new development
program of the Boy Scouts of
America for young men and women
who are 14 (and have completed the
eighth grade) through 20 years of age.
Venturing's purpose is to provide
positive experiences to help young
people mature and to prepare them to
become responsible and caring adults.
Venturing is based on a unique and
dynamic relationship between youth,
adult leaders, and organizations in their
communities. Local community
organizations establish a Venturing
crew by matching their people and
program resources to the interests of
young people in the community. The
result is a program of exciting and
meaningful activities that help youth
pursue their special interests, to grow,
to develop leadership skills, and to
become good citizens.
Venturing crews can specialize in a
variety of avocation or interests.
Venturing programs are developed
around six experience areas of
emphasis. These experience areas
include:
Citizenship, Leadership, Fitness, Social,
Outdoor and Service.
For Boy Scout Troops, there are numerous benefits
to organizing an affiliated Venture Crew
1. Venturing adds exciting new
advancement and leadership
opportunities for older boys.
2. Venturing's program is flexible, so
tioys can participate in tiotli programs.
3. Venturing's program provides new
challenges for older Scouts and
provides leadership opportunities
for all older Scouts while giving
younger Scouts something to
anticipate beyond the troop.
4. Venturing provides new advancement
opportunities for boys interested
in progressing beyond eagle
or new challenges with awards for
boys out of the "advancement
oop."
S. Through Venturing's Ranger
program, older Scouts give leadership
to the troop.
6. The program is based upon the
needs and interests and program
resources of the youth and adults.
How does a Troop and a Crew Work Together?
l . Scouts ages 14 to 18 and adult
leaders can be members of both
units (with primary registration in ·
one and multiple registration in the
other.)
2. The Crew meets separately from
the troop (twice each month is
suggested) an<J has occasional
activities apart from the Troop.
3. Older Scouts in the Troop (especially
troop leaders) are expected to
participate in both.
4. An Assistant Scoutmaster or new
adult is recruited to serve as Crew
Advisor.
5. Existing merit badge counselors can
be utilized as consultants for the
Ranger Award.
6. The Troop Advancement Chair can
help conduct Crew reviews for the
Gold and Silver Awards.
7. Ventures, whether Troop leaders or
not, give regular presentations to
the Troop as part of the Ranger
award.
8. Ventures, l • Class and above, can
continue to work in Eagle requirements.
9. If chartered by a church, the Crew
can be blended with the senior high
church youth group.
Key Elements to Program
Planning and Development
Venturing is a sharing experience as
responsible adults provide an environment
where by the developmental
needs of youth are met. Crew
program design, planning and implementation
are critical. Youth participation
is just as important.
These six experience areas should be
present in all crew programs:
1. Social interaction - formal and/or
informal activities.
2. Leadership development - youth
kained to run the crews and plan its
activities.
3. Personal fitness and development -
experiential learning (hands-on
skills development).
4. Service to others - formal or
infonnal activities, individual or
group-driven.
5. Citizenship - officer elections and
crew activities.
6. Outdoor activities and program.
members about the potential of their
experiences and activities in Venturing
Emphasis should be placed on youth
running the crew. Keep up-to-date on
local and national activities and events.
Plan exciting activities such as visiting
one of the national high-adventure
bases; for example, Philmont Scout
Ranch in New Mexico, or the Florida
National High Adventure Sea Base.
The six experience areas listed above
need not be equally balanced in the
crew program. Based on the crew's
special interest or general interest, one
Young adults in Venturing should be or more might dominate. Keep in
given the opportunity to participate in mind these experience areas might be
the program planning and implementa- formal or informal activities or events
tion process. However, the advisor in the crew program C}".cle. Venturing
has the responsibility to generate--'----sho-ould be fun and meet the needs and
enthusiasm on the part of crew desires of crew members.

Venturing's six experience areas. Tenure,
leadership, event participation, activity
organimtion, and personal growth projects

The Ranger Award encourages Venturers
