The whole world is presently concerned
about Y2K - The Year 2000 and its possible

have to act now to make sure our future is

The Chickasaw Council, and all its membership, should presently be concerned about
TC2K - Tiger Cub 2000 and its possible effects on our Scouting future. TC2K is a goal
to have 2000 Tiger Cubs in the council by
the end of the fall recruiting effort. All that
is really asked in order to achieve it is that
each Cub Pack has at least one den of six

Memphis After Midnight
The night ofNovember 6-7 will be an exciting one for Explorers, and a few advisers in
the Mid-South. We will board buses at 9:00
PM and head-out to see Memphis and Memphis based companies that don't close down
at night.

The Boy Scouts of America commissioned Syndics Research Corporation
and Dr. Kevin Ryan, Boston University, to conduct a research study to

Character Building with
Learning for Life

Approximately 2,500 students in 59
schools nation-wide-in urban,
suburban, and rural communitiesparticipated in this study. None of
these schools had previously participated in the LFL program. The
findin~ showed that students in the
LFL classes scored higher in questionnaires related to the concepts
taught than students in the non-LFL
classes who received no instruction.
Teachers ofstudents in the Learning
for Life classes saw a significant
improvement in the behavior of
students after the students had
participated in the eight LFL lessons.
This improvement was seen in all
three subgroups of the LFL classes.
The professional judgment ofthe LFL
teachers showed that the observable
behavior ofLFL students dramatically
improved compared with that ofnonLFL students.

Pow Wow

Yes, it is true, School Nights are over. However, we are still signing up boys into our
program and we need your help. How can
you help? It's easy!! If a boy signs up at
your unit, make sure the application gets to
the Scout Service Center. Other ways include asking your boys to invite a friend to
join the pack or troop; check your rosters to
make sure all boys are registered and if some
are not, please fill out an application and
tum it in. If you have any questions, please
call Jason Bain at(901) 327-4193.

Looking Ahead
It is always a good idea to look ahead, especially when we are planning a quality program for the boys. I just wanted to remind
everyone of some important dates that will
be here before you know it. The Nashoba
District Banquet will be held on January 29,
1999 (location TBA). The district Pinewood
Derby will be held on March 6, 1999 (location TBA) and the Nashoba Spring
Camporee will take place on April 16, 1999 at
Shelby Forest. Please begin looking at these
dates and plan to attend. If you would like
to help the district plan these events, please
contact Jason Bain at(901) 327-4193.

Roundtable News

Training

Please join me in welcoming our new Cub
Scout Roundtable Commissioner Mr.
Murray Harris. Murray is a well qualified
tenured Scouter who will continue as he has
to provide a great program for the Cub
Roundtable. Let's all show Murray our support by attending Roundtable every month
on the first Thursday at 7:30 PM located at
the Church of the Ascension North of Yale
onRamill.

If you are a new leader, you should have
completed or be looking forward to a training course at your level ofleadership. There
are plenty ofopportunities to c.omplete your
training requirement in the near future. Several current leaders of packs and troops remain untrained. Now would be a great time
to take advantage of the training for you as
well as improving the training percentage
for the district. Call Dave Knight at (901)
327-4193 for more infonnationorcall Linda
Brandon our training chairman for Cubs or
Dave West for Boy couts.

Commissioner Staff
More Scouters are needed to serve as unit
commissioners. We currently have room for
everyone who would like to serve as a unit
commissioner. Several new packs and
troops have been started since September
and as a result, even more unit commissioners will be needed. [f you would like to further insure the success of these new packs
and troops as well as the continued success
of our district, contact Rick Reed the district commissioner or Dave Knight at (901)
327-4193.

Popcorn
Yes, it's popcorn time. Hopefully your unit
is taking advantage of this opportunity to
make money. As you know there are great
prizes this year for all boys to earn. This
year is likely to be the biggest year for
popcorn sales in the Northeast District of
all time. This goal will only be reached
with the strong support of all Scout
leaders.

I am very encouraged by the Tallaha
District's Akela Cub over-nighter. Due
to the dedication and hard work of
Catherine Koehler, the event was a
great success. Over fifty-three Cub
Scouts and their parents got to experienceafunandexcitingcampoutevent
that will provide a lifetime of memories. There were Scouts and parents
from the Washington and Malmaison
districts. I would like to say a special
thanks to Catherine Koehler for her
incredible efforts, and all those that
helped to make the event a success.

All unit leaders are encouraged to provide a nominee to be put on a slate to
be voted on as the Tallaha District's
Committee. No nomination will be accepted from the floor when voting takes
place at the December 10, 1998 business meeting. Take advantage ofthis
wonderful opportunity. Call me with
nominations at (60 l) 846-5284.

Popcorn
I hope everyone's popcorn sales are
going well. Many ofthe units will benefit tremendously from their hard work
_ selling popcorn. Every unit chairman
-should make a note of the dates concerning popcorn. Orders are due Oc- ·
tober 23, 1998. Popcorn pick-up location will be at Texas Gas, Highway
61 South Clarksdale on October 31,
1998. Money is due November 16,
1998. Please respect the dates listed
above. Popcorn distribution will be
between the hours of9:00 AM to 11 :30

Training
The district is steadily increasing the
efforts to train everyone in the district.
The next Cub Basic Training will be held
October 17, 1998 at St. Paul Methodist Church in Clarksdale. Thesession will start at 9:00 AM and end at
l :00 PM. If you need directions call

held at the Shelby Library in Shelby,
Mississippi. It too will last from 9:00
AM to 1 :00 PM. Please make plans
to attend one of the training sessions.
Training is the key for you, the new
volunteer, to provide a more quality
program for your Scouts. Then as a
supplement attend every roundtable in
Shelby at the Library at 7 :00 PM every second Thursday of each month.

Cub Scout/
Boy Scout Roundtable
As you know, we are in the middle of
our fall round up for both youth and
adults. In efforts to further strengthen
the "Great" Southwest District, we need
to ensure that our leaders know how to
effectively run our pack and troop meetings. There is no better place to learn
this than at our Cub/Boy Scout
Roundtable, which is held on the first
Thursday of every month. The next
Roundtable is scheduled for Thursday,
November 5, 1998 at 7:00 PM at Middle
Baptist Church located at 80 I
Whitehaven Lane. Please make every
effort to attend to ensure that we continue to give our youth the best Scouting
program available.

1998 "Scouting for Food"
As you know each year, all districts in
the Chickasaw Council, BSA are asked
to participate in the Scouting for Food
drive to help benefit the Memphis Food
Bank. We want to make sure that the
"Great" Southwest District does its fair
share. The date for this event will be
November 14 and 21, 1998. The 14th
will be the day each pack and troop will
distribute the bags, donated by Piggly
Wiggle, from door to door in their assigned areas. November 21st will be the
day the non-perishable item filled bags
will be collected and taken to our drop
off location which will be the Piggly

On April 27, 1998, American's Promise released its One-year Report to the Nation.
The report highlights the many organizations, such as the Boy Scouts of America,
that have answered the call to action to help
our nation's at-risk youth since the
Presidents' summit for
America's Future last
April.

Tracking Participation
One of the challenges we
face in fulfilling our comm i tm en t to America's
Promise (200 million youth
service hours through the
year 2000) is getting back
reports and measuring the
success of 4.5 million participants. One way to
track participation is by
using the 1998 National
Unit Quality Award application. Units can record
thenumberofservicehours in 1998. In 1999,
units may report service hours on the Unit
Charter Renewal Application. The Service
to America unit commitment form can also
be used to track participation.

Child abuse continues to be a major
societal concern. More than three million cases of child abuse are reported
annually, including five hundred thousand reports of sexual abuse. It is the
most under reported major crime in
America. The Boy Scouts of America
has responded by focusing on childabuse prevention.
The BSA's Youth Protection education
and training materials constitute one of
many important benefits ofScouting for
volunteers, parents, and youth. In the
Chickasaw Council, our child-abuse
prevention strategy will be to offer detail training to all registered adults first

and then to all youth in the Boy
Scout and Cub Scout program.
Each district in the Council has
carefully selected a Youth Protection chairman that will make available and monitor all training within
the district. This is an on-going effort within our 17 counties, but a
heavy startup emphasis will be
placed over the next twelve
months.
The BSA's comprehensive child-abuse
prevention literature and fihm have won
high praise from many experts in the
field ofchild-abuse prevention. These
experts consider the BSA a leader
among youth-serving organizations on
this important issue. Much ofthis training has been and can be readily adapted
to organizations outside of Scouting.
Look for a district representative to
contact you soon and detail how this
training can come to your leaders and
youth.

The Family Friends of Scouting Campaign for 1998 raised more than
$95,000. Scout fiunilies who have contributed toward F.0.S. help pay for liability insurance for leaders and youth
members, district and council training
courses, camp facilities, day camp, full
.time professional staff, office support
staff, as well as council and district
newsletters, and more.

The fall is aiso the time when your unit
presentation date is set and a unit coordinator is chosen. Family presentations take about 15 minutes. They may
be held at pack meetings and troop
Court of Honors any time between
November 1998 and March 1999.
Someone from your district Family
F.O.S. team will be in touch with you
soon to set your presentation date.
Thank you in advance for your support.

This fall is a great time to start planning
for a successful 1999 unit campaign. It
starts first with a briefnote in your unit
newsletter explaining Friends ofScouting. The more will all understand about
F.O.S. and what it supports, the more
likely an F.O.S. contribution will be
made. This is particularly true forthose
leaders new to our program.

Gene Stone,
Scout Executive
TC2K ~ Tiger Cub 2000
The whole world is presently concerned
about Y2K - The Year 2000 and its possible
e ffects on our lives if we don ' t get some
reprogramming done in our computers. We
have to act now to make sure our future is
secure.
The Chickasaw Council, and all its membership,
should presently be concerned about
TC2K - Tiger Cub 2000 and its possible effects
on our Scouting future. TC2K is a goal
to have 2000 Tiger Cubs in the council by
the end of the fall recruiting effort. All that
is really asked in order to achieve it is that
each Cub Pack has at least one den of six
Tiger Cubs. If every pack did that, we would
have more than 2,000 Tigers.
The Tiger Cub program is family oriented,
with a boy and an adult fumilymember workrelationship
with each other, with the rest of
their family, and with other members of the
Tiger Cub Den. The motto is Search, Discover,
Share. This program should be presented
to prospective Tiger families by the
Tiger Cub coach in a separate room on the
night of your pack's School Night or a follow-
up meeting.
If your pack has not taken care of its TC2K
recruiting efforts, make plans today to insure
that new families have the opportunity
to enter Soouting. You will be glad you did .
Both the new boys and the new adults will
help insure your pack's future is secure.
Staff Changes
Scout Executive, Gene Stone, is pleased to
announce two staff changes effective September
1, 1998.
Don Moss has been promoted to the position

Character Building with
Learning for Life
The Boy Scouts of America commissioned
Syndics Research Corporation
and Dr. Kevin Ryan, Boston University,
to conduct a research study to
test the effectiveness of its Learning
for Life program. In particular, the
goal of the study was to measure
changes in knowled~e and behavior
of students who were taught eight
lessons from the program and students
who were not taught the
lessons. Results from these two
groups of students were then compared.
Approximately 2,500 students in 59
schools nation-wide-in urban,
suburban, and rural communitiesparticipated
in this study. None of
these schools had previously participated
in the LFL program. The
findin~ showed that students in the
LFL classes scored higher in questionnaires
related to the concepts
taught than students in the non-LFL
classes who received no instruction.
Teachers of students in the Learning
for Life classes saw a significant
improvement in the behavior of
students after the students had
participated in the eight LFL lessons.
This improvement was seen in all
three subgroups of the LFL classes.
The professional judgment of the LFL
teachers showed that the observable
behavior ofLFL students dramatically
improved compared with that of nonLFL
students.

The North Central District Conclave went
verywell. Heldat201 Poplar, theeventwas
simply magnificent. Neely Bar-B-Quc ca tered
the event and it gave the volunteers a

School Nights
The next item for discussion is School
Nights, in which the North Central District
have received record shattering numbers.
Thanks to Ms. Yvonne Wordlow, Pack 522,
and Mr. George Jackson, Troop 115, some
of the most successful School Nights including
Caldwefl Elementary where 45 kids
and 12 adults were recruited. This was the
start of a new pack of 40 new Cub Scouts,
which will be meeting at Bickford Community
Center. The other five Scouts will be
part of Troop 115. The second most successful
School Night took place at Shannon
Elementary where 27 new Cub Scouts and
eight volunteers were recruited. These
Scouts will be assigned to Pack 522. Seven
of the 15 elementary schools in the North
Central District have had their School
Nights. Mr. Jake Allen is scheduled to participate
in the School Nights with District
Executive Daryl Bates at Guthrie Elementary
on October 14. District Executive Daryl Bates
said, "we have eight more schools to visit
by the end of the month. We are doing very
well as far as recruiting but we still have a
long way to go. I'm really _going to need the
help of my devoted volunteers to help turn
our district around and put it where it needs
to be."

School Nights Are Over But
Membership Drive Is Not
Yes, it is true, School Nights are over. However,
we are still signing up boys into our
program and we need your help. How can
you help? It's easy!! If a boy signs up at
your unit, make sure the application gets to
the Scout Service Center. Other ways include
asking your boys to invite a friend to
join the pack or troop; check your rosters to
make sure all boys are registered and if some
are not, please fill out an application and
tum it in. If you have any questions, please
call Jason Bain at(901) 327-4193.
Rechartering
It's time for most of the units in Nashoba to
recharter. Please get the recharters filled out
and turned back in as soon as you can. This
is a very important process where time and
accuracy is essential. Again, as soon as
you receive your recharter packet please
begin to work on it so we can continue de-
1 i vering a quality program to the boys in our
district. If you have any questions or need
help on your rechartering packet, contact
Jason Bain at (901) 327-4193.
Roundtable News
Please join me in welcoming our new Cub
Scout Roundtable Commissioner Mr.
Murray Harris. Murray is a well qualified
tenured Scouter who will continue as he has
to provide a great program for the Cub
Roundtable. Let's all show Murray our support
by attending Roundtable every month
on the first Thursday at 7:30 PM located at
the Church of the Ascension North of Yale
onRamill.
Commissioner Staff
More Scouters are needed to serve as unit
commissioners. We currently have room for
everyone who would like to serve as a unit
commissioner. Several new packs and
troops have been started since September
and as a result, even more unit commissioners
will be needed. [f you would like to further
insure the success of these new packs
and troops as well as the continued success
of our district, contact Rick Reed the district
commissioner or Dave Knight at (901)
327-4193.
Looking Ahead
It is always a good idea to look ahead, especially
when we are planning a quality program
for the boys. I just wanted to remind
everyone of some important dates that will
be here before you know it. The Nashoba
District Banquet will be held on January 29,
1999 (location TBA). The district Pinewood
Derby will be held on March 6, 1999 (location
TBA) and the Nashoba Spring
Camporee will take place on April 16, 1999 at
Shelby Forest. Please begin looking at these
dates and plan to attend. If you would like
to help the district plan these events, please
contact Jason Bain at(901) 327-4193.
Special Thanks
I would like to say thanks to each and everyone
of the leaders we have in our district.
It's the leaders who make this excellent program
happen every week in our community.
However, I would like to say a special thanks
to Mike Turner, Keith Booker, Lavelle Bynl,
and Bob Byrd for the extra time they gave
during School Nights. On top of all the
Scouting jobs they have, they still managed
to put in a few more nights a week to help
the district and the council make it through
an important time of the year. Thank You!
Training
If you are a new leader, you should have
completed or be looking forward to a training
course at your level ofleadership. There
are plenty of opportunities to c.omplete your
training requirement in the near future. Several
current leaders of packs and troops remain
untrained. Now would be a great time
to take advantage of the training for you as
well as improving the training percentage
for the district. Call Dave Knight at (901)
327-4193 for more infonnationorcall Linda
Brandon our training chairman for Cubs or
Dave West for Boy couts.
Popcorn
Yes, it's popcorn time. Hopefully your unit
is taking advantage of this opportunity to
make money. As you know there are great
prizes this year for all boys to earn. This
year is likely to be the biggest year for
popcorn sales in the Northeast District of
all time. This goal will only be reached
with the strong support of all Scout
leaders.

Recharters
It's about time to take off old names and
add new ones to the unit rosters. This
year all recharters will take place at
roundtables in the months ofNovember
and December. We will have our commissioner

In Memory: Stephen Foster
of pack 741. Please put the Fosters
family and friends in your prayers.
Steven was a member of Pack 741 in
Olive Branch and I would like to share
a letter about him as our thought for the
month written by Wayne Hall of Troop
741 and Pack 41. Pack 741 and the
Chickasaw Council has set up a
Campership in Stephen's name so that
kids that can not afford to attend camp
may do so.
Thought for the month
This summer I was asked to serve on
the staff at our District Cub Scout Day
camp at Camp Currier. I was reluctant
at first due to the time involved, but I
agreed to assist on the BB gun range.
This involved teaching gun safety and
marksmanship to 60 or so eager Cub
Scouts. Some of these campers had
considerable shooting experience and
were competent marksmen. Others had
little or no experience and required a little
extra effort on our part.
One young man seemed to be having
problems on his first day on the range
so I began working with him and continued
to do so all week. I noticed that he
began improving daily and I remember
how happy he was the first time he hit
"in the black" on his target. I later
learned that in the afternoons when he
got home he would ask his older brother,
Robert, to drag out his pellet gun and
practice target shooting with him. Robert
told me that they had spent considerable
time shooting tin cans on the family
farm.
I didn't see this young man again for a
couple of months. Then, last week after
our Troop meeting, our Scouts and
leaders were standing around in the
parking ·lot ;talking as we normally do
after our meetings. I felt a slight tug on
my arm and looked down. There he was
in his Cub Scout uniform and wearing
the same smile that I had first seen on
the BB gun range. He said, "Hi Mr.
Wayne~ 'member me?" I said, "Sure I
remember you, how are you doing?" We
chatted a little then went on our separate
ways home. I had no idea that this
would be the last time I would have an
opportunity to talk with him. Stephen
died suddenly four days later at the age
of nine.
Today as I stood by his grieving parents
and watched as they said goodbye to
their youngest son, I shared their grief
for I had lost a special friend. I realized
today that the time we have to spend
with these young men is precious and
may be much shorter than we ever imagined.
Although this day has been given
tremendously sad, I feel that God has
truly blessed me by giving me the opportunity
to get to know Stephen and to
be able to work with him and, with
Robert's help, get to see him achieve
something that he may not have had
another chance to do in his much too
short lifetime.
Being in a leadership position with these
young men is sometimes difficult. If can
be a drain on your time, a drain on our
energy, a drain on our finances and on
days like today it can be totally heartbreaking.
But thanks to young men like
Stephen, it is one of the most rewarding
things that I have ever been involved
with.
Thanks Stephen.

Scouting for Food
Scouting for Food is a great way for
your unit to get involved in the connnunity.
Several units have begun to participate
in the event. However, I would
like to encourage every Cub Scout and
Boy Scout to get involved. This is a
great service that your Scouts will have
to give back to the community. Scouting
for Food is a teaching tool that will
benefit your units in ways you would
not imagine. So, get involved. November

Boy Scout Roundtable
As you know, we are in the middle of
our fall round up for both youth and
adults. In efforts to further strengthen
the "Great" Southwest District, we need
to ensure that our leaders know how to
effectively run our pack and troop meetings.
There is no better place to learn
this than at our Cub/Boy Scout
Roundtable, which is held on the first
Thursday of every month. The next
Roundtable is scheduled for Thursday,
November 5, 1998 at 7:00 PM at Middle
Baptist Church located at 80 I

effort to attend to ensure that we continue
to give our youth the best Scouting

Cub/Boy Scout Training
We have done a great job thus far with
the training of our leaders in the district.
To continue this trend we must make
sure that all new and old leaders are
properly trained. The third session of
Scoutmasters Fundamentals will be held
November 6 - 8, 1998 at camps Currier
and Tallaha. For our Cub Scout leaders
there will be a Cub Basic training on

"Great" Southwest District
Annual Business Meeting
It is that time of year when we put our
district leadership in place for the upcoming
year. We are continuing to move
the district forward in a positive direction.
In order for us to do so we must
have the most dedicated, kids first
minded people that we can find. Please
make sure that you and your unit attend
so that you will know first hand who the
new leadership for the "Great" Southwest
District is for the upcoming year.
The meeting will take place on either
Thursday, November 12 or November
19, 1998, 6:30 PM at Middle Baptist

This year our fall recruitment went great!
We were able to wrap up our School

dedicated volunteers to assist in the process.
I want to personally thank those
people involved: Jessie R. Jones, Carrie
P. Clark, LeRoy Johnson, Linda
Williams, Wardell Turner, Eddie
Young and the leaders of each pack and
troop that made everything pos ible,
without you none of this would have
been possible. Our efforts to re ' tore our
district to its greatness arc paying off
daily. Thanks to our wonderful training
staff, we have the honor of being #1 in
the Chickasaw for trained Boy Scout
leaders. Currently, we are 5'h on the
Cub Scout side and 4th for the district
level. My goal for the "Great" Southwest
District is for us to continue to work
harder and smarter than any other district
in the Chickasaw until we are # l in
everything form Quality Units to Eagle
Scouts. We have made great strides,
but we still have a ways to go. As long
as we continue to work together as a

District Banquet Planning
Underway
Betty Peppenhorst, 1999 Banquet Chairman,
has already started preparations for
the Leader Recognition Banquet. The date
of the banquet is January 22, 1999, and the
location is Central Church on Winchester.
One of the banquet committee members is
working on entertainment and another is
designing the tickets and program. Betty
may call on others for help as needed.
One new feature this year will be recognition
of the 1998 Southeast District Class of
Eagle Scouts. This part of the program is
still being planned. If you have ideas
please pass them on to Betty, or Don F.
Moss.
Also, remember to turn in all District
Award of Merit nominations and other
leader award forms no later than December
1, 1998. Please also tum in your National
Camping Award, Summertime Pack Award,
and Quality Unit forms by that same date.
This will help the Advancement committee
make certain that all awards deserved are
presented.

Societal Problem ·Confronted
Child abuse continues to be a major
societal concern. More than three million
cases of child abuse are reported
annually, including five hundred thousand
reports of sexual abuse. It is the
most under reported major crime in
America. The Boy Scouts of America
has responded by focusing on childabuse
prevention.
The BSA's Youth Protection education
and training materials constitute one of
many important benefits of Scouting for
volunteers, parents, and youth. In the
Chickasaw Council, our child-abuse
prevention strategy will be to offer detail
training to all registered adults first
and then to all youth in the Boy
Scout and Cub Scout program.
Each district in the Council has
carefully selected a Youth Protection
chairman that will make available
and monitor all training within
the district. This is an on-going effort
within our 17 counties, but a
heavy startup emphasis will be
placed over the next twelve
months.
The BSA's comprehensive child-abuse
prevention literature and fihm have won
high praise from many experts in the
field of child-abuse prevention. These
experts consider the BSA a leader
among youth-serving organizations on
this important issue. Much of this training
has been and can be readily adapted
to organizations outside of Scouting.
Look for a district representative to
contact you soon and detail how this
training can come to your leaders and
youth.
Bass Tournament Update
The First Annual Boy Scout Bass Tournament was a
splashing success. There were 170 boats that
participated, and the event raised over $10,000 for
the Chickasaw Council. Pictured above are the top
three winners.

The Family Friends of Scouting Campaign
for 1998 raised more than
$95,000. Scout fiunilies who have contributed
toward F.0.S. help pay for liability
insurance for leaders and youth
members, district and council training
courses, camp facilities, day camp, full
. time professional staff, office support
staff, as well as council and district
newsletters, and more.
This fall is a great time to start planning
for a successful 1999 unit campaign. It
starts first with a briefnote in your unit
newsletter explaining Friends of Scouting.
The more will all understand about
F.O.S. and what it supports, the more
likely an F.O.S. contribution will be
made. This is particularly true forthose
leaders new to our program.
The fall is aiso the time when your unit
presentation date is set and a unit coordinator
is chosen. Family presentations
take about 15 minutes. They may
be held at pack meetings and troop
Court of Honors any time between
November 1998 and March 1999.
Someone from your district Family
F.O.S. team will be in touch with you
soon to set your presentation date.
Thank you in advance for your support.

A Cub Science and History Day Camp .Set
For Spring Break
The Chickasaw Council, with assistance
from the Memphis Museum System, will
host a Cub Scout Day Camp at the Pink
Palace Museum during the Memphis and
Shelby County Schools Spring Break in
1999. The camp will run for four days,
from March 29 until April I and will have
a science and history theme.
Directing the spring break camp will be
Charla Sparks, a volunteer Scouter in
Eastern District. She is working closely
with the museum staff in developing an
exciting program. Activities will focus
on nature, rocks and fossils, space and
star study, and Memphis history.
Registration will be on a den or pack
basis. No individual Cub Scout registrations
will be accepted. Each pack or
den will be required to provide one adult
day camp leader for every five boys or
fraction thereof. Leadership can change
daily. Registration forms will be mailed
to Cubmasters and den leaders by the
end of the year.
Start promoting now so that you can act
quickly when the registration forms are
out. Space will be limited!
