A Question of Sash
'l'he pocket; !'lap occupies ti ·-""

When to wear the Order of the
Arrow saS1 hcsbea'l one of the foremost questions concerning policies of the organization. Through
many revisions, reprintings, and
interpretations, the exact conditions of a legitimate reason to
display the sash are not as yet
determined. It has been established that it may not be worn to
tr oop meetings, but may be at
Courts of Honor, OA functions,
and special scout events. The
sash should be worn over the
right shoulder; and no other
patches should be sewn or affixed
to the sash, except the 50th and
60th anniversary awards.
It is possible to be recognized
as an Indian when not ~earing the
sash by way of the Pocket Flap,
Arrow Pin, or Universal ·Arrow
Badge.

Bil.I Jennings
Our own Bill Jennings was elected Se.ction II Chief at the

· ~~ Speaking
.My Brothers,

Recently I was call ed upon to
speak at the June Crittenden
Chapter meeting. Off the top of
my head I spoke about "Brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow."
Some of the message I'd like to
give to you. Usually -when using
the term "brother" we tend t'o
think of our immediate family •
.Erotherly love doesn't always
exist in a family--I know. But
since they are our brothers (Family) we must live with -them. Al~
though we might fight we have to
forgive and forget ··( our parents
tend to this). As brotl'lers grow
older they seem to grow closer
and become more considerste of· e~ch
other ..·
All of -us are BROTHERS. Anyone
ever inducted into. the OA is a
bro.ther. Brothers in the OA kno\\
no boundaries. It is time.....that
we remember the mea:ning of our
admonition and truly treat our
fellow brothers as Family. We must
work together understanding that
t~ere will be differences, and ~e
solving to accomplish our purposes
by loving one another.
