dear Mr. Dalstrom:

I have your good letter of October 22 and I am heartily in f avor
of allocating an additional Silver Beaver Award to the allotment due
the Chickasaw Council to use in hon~g one of your outst anding
leaders.
I think this is a splendid thing to do and will be greatly
welcomed by the Negro Leaders. Therefore if you will fill in a bl ank
and send it on we will act upon it promptly.
Hearty congratulations on the f i ne service which the Chickasaw
Council i s rendering to Negro boys. I am delighted that you have so
many Troops and that you al so have a number of Packs.
The example
of the Memphis Council has meant much to other Southern citie s in
going forward in the matter of making Scouting available to Negr o
boys.
