to Fuller State Park. His survey indicated that the property would probably be
annexed to the city at an early date and its value greatly increased. He recommended
that the council hold this property at the present time unless there was
a great need for the funds to be received from a sale.
DEPUTY REGIONAL EXECUTIVE:

The property had been appraised at $850 per acre. He recommended that the council

Murray Reiter and Stanley Trezevant felt that the council should probably hold the
property if there was no immediate need for the money as its value would probably
increase. Stanley Trezevant was asked to check into the feasibility of selling
this property and report at the next board meeting.
NEW BOARD MEMBERS:
President Morris explained that there were two vacancies on the board due to resignation

Discussion of the project indicated a need for more information before board approval
Some board members thought that other possible designs should be considered, especially
designs recommended by the national council. Darrell Richardson stated that
the project needed more thorough investigation but those working on the project
should not be discouraged. President Morris requested that Herb Schinid have the
camping committee make further study including cost estimates, other designs, and
proposed methods of funding,
NATIONAL COUNCIL MEETING:
Dr. Bill Pope gave a report on participation at the national council meeting to be

of 12 additional participants from the council.
ORCHI ROAD PROPERTY:
President Morris called on the Scout executive to read and explain recommendations
that were made by attorney Newton Allen on a piece of property on Orchi Road. The
deed was rather complicated and the council had no use for the property. The New
Life Baptist Church was presently using the property and attempting to get a clear
deed.
Mr. Allen recommended that the council execute a quit claim deed of the property to
the church without any warranty or covenant by the council and with the understanding
that any and all expenses in connection with the transfer be borne by the church
and that further the church agrees to indemnify and hold the council harmless from
